Terry is a 2015 TONY nominated Broadway producer for The Visit starring the legendary Chita Rivera. He is one of the producers of Bandstand, the 2017 Broadway musical that received two TONY nominations for best choreography and best orchestration. Bandstand was awarded the 2017 TONY for best choreography. He is executive producer of GLASS a short film beginning production in September 2017 in Los Angeles, and Love Anonymous a feature film beginning production Spring 2018. In addition to his work on Broadway, Terry was segment producer on NBC’s The Voice – Season 4 and a producer on Let’s GO D/FW a local entertainment focused show in Dallas.
He has been actively involved in the Dallas community and several charities for many years. His community service work began with the Resource Center, where he served for eight years as a board member and ultimately board chairman. He also served on the board for the Friends of the Katy Trail, USA Film Festival, TITAS and Advisory Board at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. For his efforts and work in the community, he was awarded the Lambda Legal Civil Rights Award for Leadership.
In 2012 Loftis joined the capital campaign of Resource Center Dallas and in 2016 named Chairman of the campaign. In December of 2016, Loftis closed the campaign raising $9M. He currently serves on the board of the Black Tie Dinner (Program Chair), Dallas Way, the Booker T. Washington Advisory Board’s Presidents Council and serves as a grant review panelist for the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs.
Terry is an accomplished jazz vocalist and has performed over the years on a variety of stages including the Sammons Center for the Arts in Dallas, Denise Lee Onstage Productions – Cabaret Series, the Como Inn in Chicago, the Lenox Lounge in Harlem.
